While the number of militants killed varied between 10 and 17, most attributed the higher figure (17) to operations in both provinces. A few outlets, including 24 News HD and Aaj News, expanded the scope to include Balochistan, while others focused solely on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Some outlets, such as Geo News, Daily Pakistan, and 24 News HD, described the militants as "India-sponsored" or "Indian proxy," while others, like The Express Tribune and BOL News, used more neutral terms like "terrorists" or "militants" without attributing sponsorship. The IED attack that killed the soldiers was mentioned in most excerpts, though its prominence varied, with some outlets leading with it and others noting it in passing. ## How it developed Newest development first.
